The ORCSA has been in existence since the 1970's and was started with the objective of promoting the two breeds of draft horses - the Clydesdale and the Shire. Some of the ways that these horses have been promoted over the years have been through horse shows, fairs, parades and gatherings, where horses are permitted to participate. This is a non-profit organization and represents these two breeds as the spokesman for co-ordination with the Ohio State Fair. This organization also promotes fellowship and the gathering of horsemen and horsewomen for the purpose of educating new owners, socializing with like interested people and encouraging younger generations to learn and participate in the caring, breeding and showing of these breeds.
For further information about this organization, feel free to browse this website and to contact any member or officer. This organization is looking to grow in membership in the years to come and welcome anyone in Ohio or surrounding states, who owns or just has an interest in these wonderful draft horses.
