I hope this finds everyone doing well! The leaves are turning and harvest is well under way.
In this issue of the newsletter, you will find minutes from our last meeting held at the Ohio State Fair, a treasurer's report from Brenda Damschroder and some of the Shire and Clydesdale class results from the Ohio State Fair. Also, you will find ballots for officers to be elected for 2009-2010. Offices up for election are President, Clydesdale Representative and Treasurer. Also, I have added Secretary to the ballot. The secretary office was not discussed at the OSF meeting however, due to some other obligations, I have offered the office up for election. BALLOTS ARE DUE BY NOVEMBER 10, 2008. Please keep in mind, if you have a family membership you have 2 ballots to return, if you have a single membership, you have one ballot.
I just wanted to say "THANK YOU" for everyone that helped out with the "hospitality stall". -We had plenty of food and goodies to munch on throughout the days of showing. I personally thought it was great to have all the help and people around. (And as usual, the food was great too!)
Due to the "Ike" storm that went through central and eastern Ohio, there will not be a fall outing this year. The grounds we were proposing for the outing were badly damaged and not going to be available. Therefore, our next meeting will be at the Ohio State Fair Horse Show meeting, to be held at the Lasalle Building on December 13,2008 @ 10:00am at Ohio Expo Center. There will be a general meeting for all horse groups showing at the fair and then we will break off and have our meeting shortly afterwards. Please bring snacks to share for our meeting. The afternoon session after the individual group meetings is usually held at 1:00pm with our representatives. Please start thinking about our Spring Fling Meeting. We will need a meeting place and person to organize it.
Hope to see you all in December at the Ohio State Fair Meeting,
