I trust that everyone's Holidays went well, fun had by all with your families and friends.
Foaling season is in full swing for those you that are on that swing! I hope all goes well and good luck with your babies.
Old man winter sure settled in, it seems to me to have been a long and cold one, but the good news is spring is just around the corner! THINK SPRING!
In your thoughts and prayers please remember Loren Damschroder, Bill Herrig and anyone else that I am not aware of having a hard time of it right now. Our prayers are with them.
Lets not forget our fun gathering at the Dyers on March 19th @ 1:00 p.m. Anita will be attaching the rest of that info in this newsletter.
We've worked out the details and jumped all the hurdles. The Associations involvement in the Equine Affair in Columbus is going to happen. With everyone's help we can make it eventful.
We have rented a stall in the "Horse and Farm" exhibit area. That will be in the barn we normally show at during the Ohio State Fair, and along the green wall. We will have a table set up with some items to sell, and info about the Association and our breeds.
Ideally we would like to have a Shire in there for 2 days and a Clydesdale in there 2 days. To bring a horse for the day you will need to show proof of liability carried on your horse (under your farm policy) in the amount of $300,000 or more. A copy of that policy needs to be sent to me, Al Sidell, by March 15th. Please contact me as soon as possible so we can get that taken care of.
We will also be needing people to man the booth, sell shirts and talk horse talk! We will have a sign up sheet at the Dyers get together. If you cannot make it, just give me a call or email me the dates and time you would be available.
BREED DEMO They have asked Maria Sidell to organize the breed demo for the Clydesdales.
She would like volunteers to ride, drive or show in hand for the demo. Please contact her by March 15th, because the final script must be submitted by March 18th.
